A Touch of Color

It is always nice to see the male Cardinal on dreary winter days...a little bit of color to register in a brain filled with gray and gloom.

Mise en Place

I have been spending a lot of time in the kitchen today.  This will soon be Beef with Peppered Mushroom Gravy, and will be served over noodles...sort of a stroganoff kind of dish.  I also have tomatoes slow-roasting in the oven.  Some will be a side, some will be used on the home-made (but not from scatch) pizza.

When I get the urge to cook, I really get it!

Wireless

Sure does take a lot of wires to go wireless on the phone..but I really like that I can catch the phone from anywhere in the building...just have to remember NOT to answer when I am in the Ladies....

Early Morning Light # 2

As though to reward us for dealing with the blah days, we also get spectacular sunrises at times.  Sometimes I just stop and stare..sometimes I grab the camera and shoot..sometimes I wish I lived on a hilltop or on the plains where the view would go on forever...

In The Early Morning Light

I am just a wee tired of the blankness of winter.  These days of little sun and many shades of white. I decided to feast upon the colors of Autumn...and think about the Spring...

Together Time

Santa and the Mrs enjoying a relaxing snack on New Year day...Santa's break doesn't last long, he has to get back to work pretty quickly, but he always takes the week between the holidays off to spend some quality time with his lady love...

Off We Go...

...into the wild blue yonder...actually, I watched this take-off while sitting on the tarmac in ATL waiting for the take-off of my flight.

The Smokies

Usually when I fly in the winter, the cloud cover hides everything between Detroit and my destination....this year it was pretty clear for the better part of the trip back.  The snow in the mountains really defines the ridges and valleys...hmmmm...maybe I really went on a rocket and this is a moonscape....
