Sculpture

I was out at U of M today. I have walked by this sculpture I don't know how many times but today for the first time I really "saw" it. Took looking through the lens to see it. It is located in the lobby of the cardiovascular department.

Like people using the handicap space are going to be hopping onto their skateboard or rollerblades....right.

Yankee Doodle

I drive by some elementary schools on my way to work....this particular school has something going all the time...but imagine my surprise when I read this one. They're ordering Yankees...but what kind?? Yankees as in Civil War....(I'm hiding)...or Yankees as in baseball?

Ubiquitus

These two were hanging at the pond down by the tracks...I couldn't get the pond in the the shot because that darn black Jeep had to pull up beside us. Geese are not the favorite species here in the mitten state. Nope...not at all.

The First Shoot

Today I noticed that the two daffodils that hang out in front of the office have popped up. This one is called Daffy.....the other one, Daffy Also, was too shy to pose. Kept hiding behind a piece of mulch. Perhaps later in the season I can get a shot of both of them. I don't get too excited about spring when I see them... I know that we will have one more snowfall once the Daffs show up.

Is It Real.....?

It isn't real...and it isn't Memorex. The recent rains left a few puddles in the parking lot at work. This is a reflection in one of them...I like this one.

Inversion

Guess Mother Nature didn't care for my post of the sun in the rearview mirror...she gave us some rain today. One of those pouring one minute, partly cloudy the next, kind of days. Thought this kind of captured the mix.

Rear View

You are looking out the rear view mirror. Every spring and fall there are a few weeks when the rising sun hits me in the face when I am driving westward...that time is now. No matter what I do, the darn visor doesn't do a thing to block it. Guess I should think about a visor on the rear view mirror, huh? But then again, I could don those fancy shades of mine...the ones that actually are clipped to the visor. The ones I can't see because I have sunspots messing with my vision.

Hangin' At The Corner

So yesterday I stopped by Debbi's desk to say "hi" to the gang. It was great to see Goat and Moo-Cow doing so well (although we really need to do something about Moo-Cow's addiction to hot sauce...spicy milk is soooo not good). It was disappointing to notice that Fish's coral reef was gone. Those darn tourists just can't leave anything alone. Fish is fortunate that Goat is willing to share the coconut tree.

After Hours

There was apparently some kind of balloon war last night at the office. This morning we found purple balloon like this...badly beaten with contusions and scratches...seems blue balloon
was upset that it was blocked by purple in the group shot from yesterday. We sent purple to ICUfB, but alas there was no improvement. Blue balloon was charged with assault with intent to do great rubbery harm and was sentenced to "deflation by raccoon" in the company dumpster. Twas a sad day at the old M & A.

Welcome Back...

Today was my first day back to work since the Great Adventure of the Broken Ankle. This is what was waiting for me when I walked in the door. They are very cheerful and springlike. I think my peeps might have missed me some.

Who wouldn't feel happy and cheerful with this to look at...even if it did bop me on the head all day...

And the flowers, too...but they didn't bop me on the head. They just sat on the credenza cheering me up all day.

...welcome back, welcome back, welcome back..........

One Plus One

As of today I am back on my own two feet...I am really surprised at how well I am able to walk, not that it is perfect. What a feeling of freedom, have I! Tomorrow...work...not so thrilled about that, but I will get back in the groove.

Easter Monkey?

When I was a kid, I got fluffy little pink bunnies...sometimes fuzzy little yellow chicks...as Dylan said..."the times, they are a-changin' "
Of course, just because they were with the Easter stuff doesn't HAVE to mean they are Easter monkeys....maybe they are St. Paddy Day monkeys....what do YOU think??

The Eye of the Beholder

This is another piece of sculpture that is out on the town. I didn't get the price, but I wonder if it was a two-for....like, when your driving around out in the country, maybe you will see the piece that was cut out of this leaning against someone's tree..or maybe it is just a picture of the invisible man...who knows...but not one of my faves, that is for sure.

Yummy

Don't they look good? And they are calorie free...but mine taste better and look just as good.

A Real Bargain

So a few years ago, the Township started displaying "art" at various locations around town. Most of the work leaves me cold...but this one caught my eye. And...its for sale...ONLY $9500 and this could adorn your front yard! The shopping cart is extra.

Spring

It isn't quite time for flowers here in Michigan, but I always have a little bit of spring on my desk.

Says Who?

So who decided Bud was the king of beers...that is sooo not right.

Fifty Cent

For 50 cents, a kid can ride with Bert and Ernie. I guess the ride ends before the truck makes it to the fire. I was going to try it out, but I didn't have the change.

Rainy Days

It rained today, off and on. The robins were out searching for food...this one liked the berries on the trees better than whatever they were finding on the ground. Can't blame him, the worms were a little pale.

Seasonal

I'll be glad when the Township takes down the snowmen and puts up the spring banners...winter has been tooooo long...
