Woke up to find my Webkins (yes, Webkins..) scattered about the hallway area...while I slept, the girls went hunting. All Webkins were sent for observation and then returned home to fully recover.

Somebody decided they didn't want the decorative tree anymore...too bad they decided to dump it along the road of our complex. There seems to be a mindset that since the builder ran out of money, the vacant land is a dump.

Almost Late For Work Today...

I stopped to say goodbye to Shelby. She is going to meet up with Abby in the meadow in the sky. It's not a great picture, but it is a good memory. I will miss her...she visited when I was home alone with the ankle...she always had a smile and a wag for me when she saw me...sleep well, girl.

Twins

We had a chef in the other day prepping for a meeting...he was making deviled eggs (with shrimp on top ... if you are looking for a new idea). Came across the twins. None of us had ever seen hard boiled twins...though I have had my fair share of scrambled twins.

My grandson spent the night with me last night...we took a little walk and he picked this and handed it to me...a wonderful long weekend...full of family and fun.

...part 1. Yesterday was "family day" at Robin's. Justin and Shay are here for a quick visit..Robin grilled up some stellar shrimp...there was also chicken. MMMM mmmmm GOOD!!

Strange Attraction

I fell in love with this piece months ago when I first spotted it at Pier 1....not sure why...maybe the old world feel to it...it went on clearance and I hit my "rainy day" fund on a hot and sunny evening...

First

Harvest. The plant that in the spring looked like it would yield a kjillion 'maters suddenly stopped producing...these are the first two to ripen. I have a few more on the poor withered plant, but most of the blossoms died before they could become something... with my brown thumb, I am pleased to get any...

the black eyed susans actually look good at the entryway this year...guess its because I sprayed them for black leaf...

Went and got some color for the planting beds in front of the office...love this red ornamental grass...

So far, this has been my favorite sculpture of all. the pic does not do it justice...it has the appearance of new galvanized steel and looks like it is walking somewhere...probably to Ikea to check out the sofas...

Breakfast...

... KJ made this for Tammy's birthday...yummy dirt cake with gummy worms. It was pretty darn good...and Tammy can use the pail and shovel once the cake is gone..she lives on the lake. Nothing like a multi use gift.

Strangely...

I would rather iron than almost any other chore...I think it is because I never HAD to growing up. Today I got it ALL done and I have lots of choices tomorrow morning...

Chez Michels

We have a very famous dining establishment behind our office building. Raccoons from far and wide come to dine...of course, they haven't learned yet that Wednesday is trash pick-up day and the restaurant is closed...slim pickings. For those of you who might be worried...we leave the dumpster lid open to make it a bit easier for them to leave.

...got around to removing IE8 from my pc. Went back to IE7. I gave 8 an honest try, but I simply found it cumbersome...you have to love Add/Remove.

What I did today...yup...that is right. I attended a baby shower. Ann Marie is expecting her first child in the next few weeks. How can that be? It was just yesterday her mom called me to tell me Ann had arrived.

My patio garden. The summer weather hit us in spades yesterday, I keep it back from the the edge to cut back on the direct sunlight... Not sure the basil will make it til the first tomato, so maybe I should plant the backup basil, huh?

My first tomatos...so far the critters haven't gotten them...of course who knows what will happen when the neighbors see red....along with this one lonesome tomato plant, I have sweet basil, spicy basil and rosemary...heck, the azalia I got for Admin Day is still alive...who would have figured??
