Hanging In There

So ... seems like the daffs will make it...they aren't as green as they should be, but hopefully the sun and warm temps will keep them strong..

Multi-Tasking

One of my co-workers, multi-tasking.  Sometimes, a girl has to do what a girl has to do to get the job done.

This is printed on the entry door at the gym.  I guess they are afraid that if someone decided to kill the machines, the ricochet might be a problem? 

Steam Stopper

So the boss brought me a coffee yesterday...he does that sometimes when he has a breakfast meeting at Caribou or Starbucks.  A nice treat for me...  I have to say, I was quite amazed at the little green plug they put in the hole...for all I know they have been using them for years, but I had never seen one...meant to keep the heat in...how cool is that...I know...simple pleasures for simple minds...

Salty

So I'm cruisin' down the highway this morning headed to the office and I see this orange thing slowly making its way across the overpass.  Dang!  Is it?  Could it be??  It is!  A salt truck...the first one I have seen since the snow we got on Sunday.  He was going very very slowly, so I have a feeling he was on some real icy pavement...color me surprised!

Poor Daffs

Remember the daffs that had appeared when the snow melted last week?  If we all had snow-ray vision, we might be able to see them again.  They are buried under a foot of snow, plus the shoveled snow...any bets on if they survive?   

Bird Watching

I think the robins were a little early this year, I think the snow caught them by surprise...not to worry though, plenty of berries for them in the trees outside my windows.

I am not sure if this guy was looking at me...or the cats who spent the afternoon watching the birds flitting from rooftop to tree to rooftop back to tree...

Sabine was very intent on the actions of this grackle...
