Keeping Busy

I have recently gotten back into crocheting, something that has been very sporadic in my life over the years.  For some reason I suddenly have faith in my abilities to create.  On my recent flight to Atlanta, I made myself a little purse to carry when we went to dinner.  I was quite surprised that the airlines allow crochet hooks ( and knitting needles ) on board.  Perhaps they think that only little old ladies in support hose who would never hurt a fly are the only ones that ply the craft?  Being able to do the crocheting made the flight just fly by :::snicker:::

Who Knew?

I spent the latter part of last week in Atlanta.  On Saturday we went to a gathering and sat at tables outside.  Needless to say, the slate pavers were a tad uneven....we had one rocky table....by accident, my son spotted this handy, dandy little "Shuv It" thing nearby.  Not sure if I have ever been somewhere that had these little wedges....usually people are "shuv-in'" folded napkins, scrap paper etc under the wobbly leg.  I was impressed.  But then, it usually doesn't take a whole lot to impress me  :-)

Comfy?

You wouldn't think so, yet Simon's favorite place to sleep is in the basket of magazines my DIL keeps on the table by the sectional.  He has a real nice soft, comfy bed but refuses to use it.  Cats....a mind of their own.

Times Are Bad

Going South

So yesterday it was on the warm side...don't have to go down south when the northern temps are that high...but its a great song...

Ice Storm?

Nah...but we did get some good sized hail yesterday....was hotter'n snot and when it broke the storms came in...hail about the size of a quarter...

Iced Tea?

Lately, I have been on an iced tea kick...brew it overnight and bring to work next day.  Today I decided to stop at the McCafe and get one for a buck...but hey...look...I have that dollar off coupon from KJ.  I got me a Frappe...yummmm....started my day off right...

Oh yeh...I got the iced tea also....

Summertime....and the livin' is easy....
